According to the Guardian and the Metro the UK government's been advising the police and local autorities on the dangers posed by "nu rave" groups and their seditious performances of what they call "punk meets disco."
"Predicting a return to a summer of illegal parties, the [Local Government] association warned councils that young people had tired of mainstream bands and were turning to "nu-rave" music that was not available at established clubs and festivals."We're playing at Glastonbury this year you cunts.
Interestingly, they also
"urged local authorities to scan MySpace and internet message boards to gather intelligence of plans for illegal raves"So thats out then. We'll have to find a way around that particular bastard.
"...The association has identified Klaxons, New Young Pony Club, Shitdisco, Trash Fashion and Hot Chip as leading exponents of nu-rave, described by a council spokeswoman as "punk meets disco"."Ha ha ha ha.
""We still want people to be able to wave their glow sticks and listen to music but raves are illegal," a spokesman said."ha ha ha ha ha ha
